Hello, Community!

Mentors, role models, heroes.

These words define many of our young men and young women student-athletes. It is with their positive outlooks, efforts and assistance that even younger student-athletes can learn, grow and succeed.

Highlights this month include an introduction to a Student-Athlete Mentor; thoughts on the importance of college visits; an article by a young man at Scout.com who is doing good things for high school student-athletes; and an introduction to the Board and Mentors.

SportsHopes is a High School to College Pathway Student-Athlete Support not-for-profit org based in the Hayward, CA, area outside of San Francisco.

It is the mission of SportsHopes to help high school student-athletes graduate from high school, move forward to college and play the sports they are passionate about in college.

SportsHopes currently serves the communities of Castro Valley, Hayward, San Leandro and San Lorenzo, but in time hopes to grow and assist more communities along the 880 corridor.
