SportsHopes fundraises at Oakland A’s games 10-9-12 & 10-3-12

Local volunteers worked at concession stands at the 10-9-12 and 10-3-12 Oakland A’s baseball games to raise funds for SportsHopes. SportsHopes is a 501c3 nonprofit public charitable org that helps high school and community college student-athletes move forward to four-year colleges. Services provided to student-athletes are free of charge. The A’s concessions company donates a percent of profits in return for staffing a stand. Additional fundraising at 2012 games is planned.

Terry has a son, TJ, on the University of Oregon football team, and a daughter, Martina, a multiple sport student-athlete freshman at Bishop O’Dowd Catholic High in Oakland, CA. Diana is a San Leandro, CA, City Council Member and the proud parent of four grown children. Donna has a son, Anthony, on the UCLA track team and a daughter, Celeste, on the UC Berkeley soccer team. The Oliver family has a son, Dash, on the UC Berkeley track team.
