Local volunteers worked at a concession stand at the 9-23-12 Oakland Raiders football game
to raise funds for SportsHopes. SportsHopes is a 501c3 nonprofit public charitable organization
that helps high school and community college student-athletes move forward to four-year colleges.
Services provided to student-athletes are free of charge. The Raiders concessions company donates
a percent of profits in return for staffing a stand. Additional fundraising at 2012 games is planned.

The Oliver family has a son, Dash, on the UC Berkeley track team. Wanda has a daughter, Taylor,
on the Soka University track team and soccer team. Sherie has a daughter, Cate, on the varsity swim
team at Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton, CA. Terry has a son, TJ, on the football team at
University of Oregon. Diana is a San Leandro, CA, City Council Member. Dave is a SportsHopes officer.
