Joaquin Soto is an upstanding, hard-working and academically-focused student-athlete. He’s been playing/competing in baseball since the first grade and loves the sport, it is part of what makes him, him. His end of junior year high school transcript shows a 4.09 weighted GPA / 3.82 non-weighted GPA for grades 10-12. He took classes in the 8th grade (Algebra 1 and Geometry) that apply to high school – college prep core courses. He also has taken the SAT twice and will re-take …it a third time to try and obtain best possible scores. The 6′-3″ tall baseball player also plays football as a secondary sport. He’ll graduate from Castro Valley High School in Castro Valley, CA, in June 2016. He’s preparing to reach out to college coaches via email this month and in the early Fall he’ll apply to a variety of colleges (D1, D2, D3 and NAIA). Great job, Joaquin, and great job helping your son, Mom Amparo!
