Hannah Gamez is a sophomore Class of 2018 at Newark Memorial High School in Newark, CA, and is already a two-year starter for the Varsity Girls Volleyball team. Hannah comes from a sports-loving family with a dad who played pro baseball and a sister who is currently a starter on the volleyball team at Menlo College. The 5’8″ Hannah (shown here with mom, Leslie Gamez) met with SportsHopes this weekend to plan Hannah’s pathway to college which includes reviewing college prep/transferable core courses, GPA, SAT tests (the newly revised SAT test), volunteer work in community, athletic stats and video, reaching out to college coaches, and come senior year applying to colleges and financial aid. She’s focusing on the big picture!
