Such a wonderful pathway story Cameron Davis has. He understands very well that the pathway to college, career and self-sufficiency takes a lot of time, hard work, focus and passion. It isn’t about going from just A-B, it’s about going from A-Z. Cameron, shown here with longtime sweetheart, Bri Miller, at a SportsHopes fundraiser, leaves this weekend for a new job as a Graduate Assistant Football Coach (Defensive Line) at bigtime football college, Texas A&M, but his pathway there wasn’t simple nor instant. Cameron played football for and graduated from Saint Mary’s College High School in Albany, CA, moved forward to academics and playing football at Pasedena City Community College, realized then that a future in coaching was what he wanted, so he attended California State University, East Bay, where he earned a BA in Sociology while coaching football at Diablo Valley Community College. From there he attended and earned a Master’s in Leadership and Management at University of La Verne in Southern California while coaching football there at the same time. His plan, and we’re sure he’ll get there, is to coach in the NFL. Whew, great job young man! We look forward to watching you continue to go and grow!
